Migrating North
so I started with this quilt awhile ago, I knew I wanted the paisley to stand out, so I added coins but I didn't like what I had put together.
It sat on my wall for months trying to find different fabric. I got the blue/gray fabric and pulled a charm pack I had. In the meantime I came across Deb Tucker's Migrating Geese video, I liked it so much better than the coins. So this is what I have come up with... I hope it doesn't take as long to put it together as it took for me to get it together. I will add a thin border in between the strips. This will be a queen size that will go to my youngest and his wife.

brick wall
This was made with a Jelly Roll, I didn't know what to do with it for a long time. started making strip sets, and ended up with this. this went to a girl at work.
colorful braids
This was for the fourth grandbaby, I had made a quilt before using braids in the border, and I just love this pattern. Gray Plaid flannel on the back. straight line quilting I did put two fmq flowers in border.
Quilt as u go BLUNDER
This was some new way I wanted to try, I believe a quilt as you go. I don't have a picture of the completed one, but will never do this again. All the fabric is flannel. This was made for my third grandbaby in 2015.
a star quilt and a growth chart
This was made for my great niece who arrived January 2017. Sundrops was the fabric, very pretty. I came across the pattern on a blog and I am sorry I don't remember where but the original was Judy Martin's Cluster Star. I made mine alittle bigger.
I got the growth chart panel from Ethelbird & Eliza kids fabric online shop. backed with flannel, quilted around the leaves on tree, and added a sleeve.

tropical chevron
This is a queen size. The original pattern was Sunny Skies by Missouri Quilt Company, but I changed the layout and went with this. Did straight line quilting around the white chevrons and added chevron in borders. Added white piping to binding to break up gray on gray

Triangles
This is what I have going on now, all rows are sewn, but not to each other. I had to add the black triangles to make it a little bigger. I did take time to lay this out but something got out of order from my wall to my machine. oh well.. I'm not going to pick it apart. it is what it is.
precious moments panel
made this for my first grandchild in 2002. it was a panel that a cut apart and added borders around all the squares and on the back applique hearts.
