Garden of Plenty
I am calling this one Garden of Plenty, I was actually thinking at first My Weedfree Garden. My Perennials in my garden are coming to life accompanied by many WEEDS. I need to get out there and just get to it. No weeds in this quilt though pretty rose buds, peonys, and mums. The half square triangles were done in a weekend, i had it arranged in a different way at first but than changed it to this. Did the quilting this past weekend, will finish binding tonight. it finished at 52" square. Started this Jan 27 so this didn't sit around too long.

Peter Cottontail
I saw this the other day and thought I would make it.
I found it at http://thecraftyquilter.com/2014/04/patchwork-peter-rabbit-tutorial/. He is the second one, the first one had a mishap, a cutting mishap. I didn't make it as big or add the tulips, but I still think he is cute and I even found a pink button in my old sewing box. He will Welcome guests at the front door, I added two small loops on back and inserted magnets to affix him to the steel door. My intent was to do swirls but I haven't FMQ in so long stippling just came naturally.

Pathways
I downloaded this pattern back in 2012 from Moda Bake Shop called Simply Woven. I made all the blocks back in January and I only used 3 different colors, it did not have the bold effect of that in the pattern. So these blocks sat in waiting.
now it's March and i had just watched the free weekend of The Quilt Show, and I caught the episode with Victoria Findlay Wolfe. Her inspiration was "if you don't like it Cut it up" So guess what I did next YEP I cut it up!!

and I like how this turned out, it will finish at 48x48 and bonus I have all that wonderful(not negative) space to practice FMQ. No Fabric wasted here. I will do the Simply Woven Quilt again but with more colors. anna

Spring Cleaning and some Sewing
I haven't had the grandkids in two weeks. So I have spent my days painting all the trim and baseboards, I have stained the stairs, I put up a vinyl tree motif in the dining room which I also painted. Whew!! I did get into the sewing room, first I cleaned and rearranged it, cleaned and oiled my machine, and got to sewing. I finished the top of the triangle quilt, I finished all the migrating geese, and I managed to get started on a memory quilt for my mom who just turned 90 (she only wanted the grands and great grands). I will have to add color she won't like all that black. A couple more pictures and hope to have it done by next weekend. Wishful!!!
these two cuties are the youngest of my grandkids and those three are my boys
although I miss the kids, Happy to have gotten so much done. anna

Christmas Squares
This one was made as a Christmas present I have three sisters and we did a Pollyanna, so I didn't know who would be receiving it. This was made in 2011 it was a really nice fabric collection, I might have the selvage to find the name.
Olivia's Lime Quilt
this one is an old one, it was made for one of my boys girlfriend at the time. Her favorite color
lime green. This was a Christmas 2011 gift. scrappy binding and this wild flannel back.
