and I like how this turned out, it will finish at 48x48 and bonus I have all that wonderful(not negative) space to practice FMQ. No Fabric wasted here. I will do the Simply Woven Quilt again but with more colors. anna

Pathways
I downloaded this pattern back in 2012 from Moda Bake Shop called Simply Woven. I made all the blocks back in January and I only used 3 different colors, it did not have the bold effect of that in the pattern. So these blocks sat in waiting.
now it's March and i had just watched the free weekend of The Quilt Show, and I caught the episode with Victoria Findlay Wolfe. Her inspiration was "if you don't like it Cut it up" So guess what I did next YEP I cut it up!!

This looks fantastic! Cut up, and in this layout makes for a very striking quilt. I made those blocks once, and added wider sashing (http://quiltfabrication.blogspot.com/2016/01/simply-woven-version.html) as alone, they weren't working for me. Thank you for sharing this on Midweek Makers!
